Found Words: Phygital

The latest meaningless market phrase, phygital is a combination of physical, digital. for example

seamlessly intertwining consumer experiences in the physical and digital space to extend consumer engagement

I Think that means doing consistent print and Internet advertising. Maybe.

Hat tip to Jay Goldman I feel the same way about “phygital” as I do about “webinar”. Can we please not go there? Sigh. #efp

No, they meant it to mean the increasing merging of digital and physical (like data appearing on offline objects). I hate that term. It sounds like some creepy leprechaun. I prefer the term infotropism, which means the movement of data onto other (unexpected) locations.
